Facilitators - MacEwan Help Save Stan Event Information
Thank you for participating in Help Save Stan on March 2, 2020. It promises to be an amazing day filled with Interprofessional learning. Once you have registered, you will be assigned to a Sim Coordinator. The Sim Coordinator is your point person. Please direct questions to them. They will contact you for detailed information about the following:
As a Facilitator, you are responsible for briefing, deploying, and then debriefing learners within a Sim-IPE experience. During the simulation, Facilitators make note of the behaviours that support interprofessional communication, collaboration, and role clarification grounded in the CIHC National IPE Competencies. These notes are then used as discussion points in the debrief. Should any unforeseen circumstances arise, and you are unable to make it, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please plan to arrive by 4:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2020, the day of Help Save Stan familiarize yourself with the room/location and to set it up according to the scenario.
Event day information
In-person event day will be held in the MacEwan Robbins Health Learning Centre on the corner of 109 street and 104 avenue in downtown Edmonton. Find your way to the third floor, Room 9-323.
Simulations begin immediately after student/facilitator orientations, at 5:30 PM sharp. Simulations are scheduled in 60 minute blocks. We have scheduled 5 minutes at the beginning and end of each simulation to allow students time to move to the next sim, so each simulation is 50 minutes. You will be running 3 consecutive simulations. Simulations will run between 5:30 - 8:30 PM. It is very important that you keep to the 50 minutes simulation times blocks to run the event on time.
Building Location and Parking
We are working to secure a special parking rate. Check back by mid-Feb. The Robbins has underground, parkade, and surface lot parking in close proximity.

Pizza will be supplied. Please bring your own beverages. You provided us with dietary preferences when you registered. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Coats and Personal Effects
There will be a designated area for your coats and belongings. We will have volunteers constantly monitoring this area, but we recommend that you keep any valuables with you.
Your Sim Coordinator will communicate wrap up needs to you. Wrap up is schedule between 8:30 - 9:00 PM. This will include packing up and removing any items that the Simulation Coordinator brought for the simulation and ensuring the area is clean.
